My paintings are inspired by what I see around me in my everyday life or personal experiences of my life!

I prefer to work in a bold, stylized, colourful, form, which is strongly influenced by my New Zealand, pacific background. Most of my work is in oil as it gives a depth of colour and sharpness I find, not always achievable with acrylic.

I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and materials, for example using sand, string and even ground pepper corns which adds texture and movement to bring the painting to life.

I start with an idea. The painting then takes on a process of its own with inspirations and ideas changing as it develops. Everyone is unique and original!
