I prefer to work in a bold, stylized, colourful, form, which is strongly influenced by my New Zealand, pacific background. Most of my work is in oil as it gives a depth of colour and sharpness I find, not always achievable with acrylic. I enjoy experimenting and like to add different materials for example sand, string, cloth and even ground pepper corns which adds texture and movement to bring the painting to life.
